Domestic advanced track maintenance equipment guarantees the construction quality of China Laos railway

Along the China-Laos Kunming-Wanzhou Railway, the construction personnel operate advanced domestic large-scale road maintenance equipment to carry out fine adjustment of the line.
There are 136 bridges and 93 tunnels in the Yuxi Mohan section of the China Laos Railway in China, with a bridge tunnel ratio of 87%, including 15 long tunnels over 10 kilometers. The geological conditions are complex. Since the first rail was laid in the domestic section of the China Laos Railway on April 7, 2020, China Railway Kunming Bureau Group has given full play to the technical advantages of domestic large-scale road maintenance equipment, and has successively supplemented ballast, leveled rails, and adjusted the slope to ensure that the track quality can meet the requirements of EMUs passing through different geological environments at a speed of 160km/h.
"After the advanced domestic large-scale road maintenance equipment is put into construction, it not only realizes the fine control of the line quality, but also greatly improves the operation efficiency." Li Fei, the person in charge of the on-site operation of the Kunming Public Works Machinery Section of China Railway Kunming Bureau Group, said that the domestic DWL-48 continuous line tamping and stabilizing vehicle used for the fine adjustment of the line has strong adaptability to various climatic and geological conditions. For the "throat" turnout of the line weighing thousands of tons, manual fine adjustment is very difficult, but the domestic CDC-16K turnout tamping vehicle can be fine to millimeter. The operator can input the operation data into the on-board system in advance, and can synchronously advance the whole process of pre-operation measurement, accurate alignment, and post-operation review. During the fine adjustment construction of the main line, a DWL-48 tamping and stabilizing train set composed of 6 workers can carry out fine repair of the 5km line every day, with the efficiency more than 6 times of the previous manual operation. The domestic SPZ-200 ballast distribution and shaping vehicle can configure and shape the ballast of the track bed at the speed of 10 kilometers per hour, so that the ballast is evenly distributed under the track.
Zhang Cunkun, the staff in charge of on-site construction scheduling, said that before the opening of the new railway, more freight trains would be operated to run in the line. With the construction of the domestic GMC-96X rail grinding car, this link has been canceled. The grinding car can calculate the rail profile according to the model, load, flow and other factors of the vehicles running after the opening, and polish the rail surface in place through the grindstone at the bottom of the car to eliminate potential safety hazards and shorten the "run-in period" between the track and the vehicle.
In the construction project of the China Laos Railway, the domestic equipment was put into construction simultaneously in the Yuxi Mohan section in China and the Boten Vientiane section abroad, so as to build a high-quality railway with "intelligent manufacturing in China".
